Sat 8 clear and pleasent all day I went down
to Mr. Simeses to get some wheat Mr.
Monson and his lady came hear for the last

Sun 9 clear and pleasent all day I went down
to hear Mr. Gripheth preach Mr.
Camblen Nights funeral Mr. Monson
and his lady bids fare well for the last

Mon 10 clear and pleasent all day I went and
thrashed oats third quarter 10 5 12 E

Tue 11 clear and pleasent this morning through
the day it clouded up and had the appearan
of rain I commenced sowinge wheat on
the primeses of Adam bests no more

Wed 12 some foggy this morning but soon
broke away Father started to chickoau
go started at 8 O clock I sowed wheat

Thu 13 clear and cool this morning I think
there was frost or close mippen I sowedw

Fri 14 clear and cool this morning I have
had my health extreamly well so
far yet I finished sowing wheat at
noon which made One hundred corn rows
or four aclres of ground so ends the day

Sat 15 clear and pleasent all day I down to
Lafayett and from that to Fordsmans
Mill to get emploid but dident get it

Sun 16 clear and pleasent all day I went down
to singing school in Harresson Ville
at ten O clock considerable of sickness ne

Mon 17 some foggy this morning clear and nice
all day I cut up sixteen shocks of corn
fodder wrote this on sunday morning
the seventeenth of september 1838 soma
am I a soildier of the crooss a fodler

18881222 July the fifteenth 1838

Sun 15 the sun rose clear and pleasent this
morning with the exception of a few clouds
flying over us wind south west I went
Mr. Simses school hous to hear Mr. Paul
preach and in the after noon there was
singing school and at night I came home

Mon 16 clear and pleasent and continued so till
night I bound wheat for Wm Pierce

Tue 17 clear and pleasent and continued so with
the exception of a few flying clouds
I bound wheat for Wm. Pierce 75

Wed 18 clear and pleasent and continued so
with the exception of a few flying
clouds I Bound wheat for Wm Pierce

Thu 19 some cloudy this morning and had
some appearance of rain but dident
rain till about an hour by sun then
it raind some little lots of faun now
I bound wheat for Granison Pierce

Fri 20 clear iwith some clouds two about
twoo .O. clock it raind terable hard
shower lwith heavey thundring and
and lightning and continued some
showery throug out the afternoon the
sun shoen out before it went down
I Pound wheat for John Graves

Sat 21 cloudy this morning the sun shoen out
some few times in the day it raind a
shower in the fore noon and quite a
little while at four it raind and still
contineud so till night I cradled
for James Ireland till four .O. clock

Sun 22 cloudy this morning but broke away
it was some cooler than it has been for
some time past I went over the school
hous to hear Mr. Griffeth preash 183

Fri 4 it haint so cold as it has been it has evry
appearance of more rain there is a big cloud
hanging over us at preasant there was som
few rainy showers to day it is very cool
the sun shoen out some two or three time
it raind in the night quite hard an

Sat 5 it is cold enough to snow this morning
wind West it raind severl times in
and through the day at night it broke
away the moon shoen out quite bright
I went to John Graves and Soloman bests
trial tride before squire Roberds 1838

Sun 6 it is a raining this morning again it broke
awa about half past seven .O. clock the sun
shoen out very pleasant wind West at
this time it clouded up at night and had
the appearance of more rain the six
I went to meeting to hear Mr giffette

Mon 7 it has the appearance of more rain the wind
West the sun shoen out about nine .O.clock
in the morning it clouded up again and got
quite windy and cold at three .O. clock it
commenced snowing quite hard it got some
some warmer in the evning I plowed

Tue 8 it has the appearance of a pleasant day
the wind dont blow soe hard as usul the
weather perhaps will moderate it was clear
and cool all day and in the evning it got
some pleasenter than it was for severl days
past I likewise followed plowing all day 1838

Wed 9 it is clear and very pleasant at this time
the sun shoen out quite warm the wind is
calm this morning there was a heavy frost this
morning it got very cold in the evning
it was cold enough to snow but dident
I Plowed all day hard enough amens
When I can read my title clear to mansion
in the skyes I will Bid farewell to
