Wed 22 Cloudy this morning and rained some
I made some rails old Man Shigley got
of me ten barles of corn at noon I
got wood for Coopers on Adams bests
acount one Dollar quite warm after
night It rained quite hard and it
thundred and lightned very much

Thu 23 Cloudy this morning and looks like
rain it rained some of the time a
little I cut some timber then I
wrote some Harmon R. Lucas

Fri 24 Cloudy this morning and raining
some but som broke away and got
clear quite warm I cut timber and
made some rails I went to limmon
and took tea with the Ladies 1840

Sat 25 Clear this morning and quite pleasant
and nice I started and weent to the
Town of Laffayette with Hiran
Genings in his wagon 9 went in
it some of the way it got cloudy and
rained some then it broke away and
the sun shoen out but soon got
a tremendious hard shower on the
southe side of the Wabash a fine
convention a 1.000. good old
fashoned Whigs at Lafayette
they marched all around the
Court house and the there was
several orations Deliverad then
a long came 2. fool barles of
the old hard cider free for
the company I got one pint
of the cider it continued to rain
on all all night Wm Klepinger
staid all night I got a pam
life hat 31 cts at hanners store
one day after date we or either
of us Dood promis to pay

Jenuary the 7 th. AD 1839 Page 44

Mon 7 Cloudy and snowed some I commenc
my laboring with Jacob Klepinger

Tue 8 cloudy this morning I worked for
Jacob Klepinger it rained some in
the evening quite worm all day

Wed 9 cloudy this morning and raining
it commenced the night preceding
it raind quite hard it broke some
five or six times through the cours
of the day I worked for Jacob w
Klepinger till nine O. clock in
the morning I came home and went
to school at night the sun shoen out

Thu 10 clear and quite pleasent all day
I worked for Jacob Klepinger
quite warm and nice all the time

Fri 11 clear all day and quite pleasent
I worked for Jacob Klepinger
despertly warm for the season

Sat 12 cloudy this morning the sun shoen
out some of the time I worked
for Jacob Klepinger after night
Harners preached at Salem
meeting house thir was about 30 out

Sun 13 cloudy this and rained some in
the morning it continued so
all day I wrote nearly all day

I went to school it thundred
