Sat 8 Cloudy this morning quite warm it
looks like rain or snow it rained
till noon in the after noon it brke away
and got clear I started up to a quarterly
meeting the Distent fron Drresden
was ten miles we got there Just as
public preaching was dismissed we
staid at Georg Smiths all night
quite mudy too no more at this time

Sun 9 Cloudy this morning I went to Love
feast I got in at it in the after noon
It got clear and pleasant for a while
then clouded up and thundred some and
after night I went to meeting again
with a certain young lady at about
ten she and I set out for home and
I felt as happy as I well could feel.
I staid at Georg Smiths they had
heap of company there I believe I
never saw as mudy roads in my life

Mon 10 Cloudy this morning quite cool we all
set out for home and got home at 3 oclo
quite mudy it looked like snow I staid
all night at aunts no more at this tim

Tue 11 Clare this morning quite pleasant and
ground frose hard but it began to thundr
quite smart after night I went to meeting

Wed 12 Clear this morning quite warm it
began to though rite mart after night
I went to aunt Pierces on a visit I
staid at aunts all night 1840 H.

Thu 13 Cloudy this morning and snowed
quite hard for a while then broke
away but still looked like rain
quite mudy this makes a scence I
came from home 49 days and no
prospect of getting hom yet 1840

Fri 3 Cloudy this morning I past Columbus at
12. I got to granville and staid all night
my bill was 1. 37 cts quite fine place

Sat 4 Clear this morning I started and got
to Dresden at 4 oclock it thought sone
my bill was 1. 6 cts no mor at this

Sun 5 Clear this morning some warmer than it
has bin for some time past I went to a
meeting then over to Josiah Smiths I
went to meeting after night againe cs

Mon 6 Cloudy this morning I done nothing
much all day I was rite in town all
of the time I would be glad if you will
excuse my bad writing at this time 184

Tue 7 Cloudy this morning I went up to
Samuel Walkers and found all well
pleas permit me to come and spend the
nex sabith evening a few hours I will
be very much pleased I will exit.

Wed 8 Cloudy this morning I and Lirza went
over to concord I got to Isaac Grunnons
and staid all night I got over about one
houre after dark I paid .62 cts tole

Thu 9 Cloudy this morning I started and got
to Benets Lucas at one oclock and staid
all night I was at John Lucas at the eve

Fri 10 Cloudy this morning and raining and
sleted some I started and went over to
Joshua . bomans and got there at 11 oclock
and found all well after night I went
to a singing school I staid all night at

Sat 11 Cloudy this morning and raining quite
foggy the snow went off very fast I
went to to seammens town and back
