Cumberland I past Collumbus at one
oclock my tole was 40 cts bill 87 cts
I got to Lafayette at dark I came 46
miles to day quite pleasant 1840

Thu 5 Clear this morning I came throug
Spring field at 11 oclock I got my
money at eanon I got to dalon at
dark my bill awas 75. tole 29 cts
I came 46 miles to day 1840

Fri 6 Clear this morning I started and
came to Eaton 24 miles off of daton
then to Richmond 16 mils I got
to the Indiana line at dark then I
came 4 miles further to richmond
My bill was 1. 37 cts I came 40 mils
the worst road I ever saw in my life

Sat 7 Clear this morning I started from
richmond and got to Shalells ville
and put up for the night My bill was
75. cts the road was quite muddy I
came 40 miles I got my hames at noon

Sun 8 Clear this morning quite pleasant
I started my bill was 87 cts I past
Indianapolis at four oclock I got 9
miles this side of it I got to a little
viledge the name of it was augusta
and put up the roads quite bad all
day I came 37 milss Harmon Lucas

Mon 9 Cloudy this morning but soon got clear
I got to kirklin at one oclock I got to
Jefferson at dark and put up quite
a bad road nind I tel you my bill
was 50 cts I road 38 miles to day

Page 100 - December 26, 1839 - Going to Ohio

December the 26 .1839 Page 1.00

Thu 26 Cloudy this morning I went to Mr.
Pattersons after some money I got 2. 50
quite warm the sun shoen out some of
the time I went up to Klepingers and
got 3 bushels of oats after night we
had some visites hear to our hous amen

Fri 27 Cloudy this morning I started to the
Ohio it was very bad going I got to
George Parkers at four oclock in the
evening I half sold my sley nor more

Sat 28 Cloudy this morning I started and gat
to Kerklin at one oclock I got with in
18 miles of Indianapolis and staid all
night my bill was .62 cents H. L.

Sun 29 Cloudy this morning at about 2 oclock
I past Indianapolis and got 16 miles E.
of that and staid all night it got clear
and quite cool my bill was 43 cts L

Mon 30 Clear this morning I hald my sley te tell
night I got with in .3. miles of Dublin or
25 miles of the devidn line I staid all
night and my bill was 50 cts Harmon L

Tue 31 Cloudy this morning quite cool I past
through Richmond at 12. oclock I got 18
Eaton and staid all night my bill was .75.

Wed 1 Clear this morning I past Daton at
about twon oclock in the evening I got
with in 9 miles of Spring field quite

Jeffers and staid all night me bill was
