Fri 13 Clear this morning with a heavy frost
I cleaned up oats it was nice and pleasant
all day campmeeting commenced on
My Fathers land I done several
things to day after night I went to
meeting no more at this time Harmon

Sat 14 Cloudy this morning and rained till
late in the evening it quite was a few
out no more at this time H. Lucas

Sun 15 Cloudy this morning and rained som
quite cool for the season it continued so
all day I was at camp meeting there
was a few out Harmon Patterson Joined
the Methedist episcople church 1839 80
Wm Campbell staid all night hear
I got hom 15 miuets past 12 18ooo

Mon 16 Clear this morning quite pleasant it
looks fine Camp meeting broke up at
ten Oclock quite warm in the after
noon I cut 9 shocks of fodder it
continued pleasant all day but after
night it clouded up and rained hard 1839

Tue 17 Cloudy this morning and raining a
little it rained by spells all day in the
evening I went down to Cooppers store
after quinine I took up a waggon wh
eall to Millses for to get fixed I got
my calf from Samuel Pulvers and
Luesa Pulver had a severe shake of
the ague quite hard no more at this

Wed 18 Clear this morning quite cool for the
season it got some pleasant on through
the day I cut up fodder ten shocks of

Thu 19 Clear this morning quite pleasant
till in the evening it got some cloudy and it
rained some I cut up ten shocks of fodder
Wily. Sims staid att night with us

Thu 30 there is a desperate heavy fog this
morning and staid on till nine or ten
.O clock it broke away and was tollerable
warm I went to drive cattle for Adam
Best and never did se just such
a team of cattle before in my life

Fri 31 and the last day of august it was
cloudy and raining a little early in the
morning about nin O clock it raind
a fine shower it broke away and was
quite windy and pleasent all day at
sun set it was a little cloudy helped
Wm Hunt to clean up oats in the
fore noon in the after noon don nothing

Sep 1 clear and windy all day I went to
a campmeting near Montecello and got
there at 12 O. clock and when I got
there I saw nothing to brag of no

Sun 2 some cloudy this morning there was
a few out to day it broke away and
got quite pleasent thire was three
prechers Wily Bruce and Smith

Mon 3 clear and some little frost I received
infermation that morning I got home
half past twelve O clock I put up
hay in the after noon so no more

Tue 4 clear and quite cool I drowd hay

Wed 5 clear and pleasent all day I went
down to help James Graves thrash wheat

Thu 6 clear and pleasent all day I helped
James Graves to thrash wheat out

Fri 7 clear and pleasent all day I helped James
Graves to thrash wheat till noon

Mon 28 it was cloudy and clear by turns all day the
sun shoen out some few times till about five
.O. clock then the sun shoen out quite warm
and pleasent the wind was calm and still
it moderated some about ten .O. clock I
planted corn till four .O. clock and then I
went down to Mr. Simeses school hous to
hear Mr. Wily the Elder preach Mr.
John Smith was out hear from Ohio

Tue 29 it is clear this morning some frost the sun
rose clear and pleasent it has the
appearance of more finer weather than
we have had for some five or six
weeks past and gone I plowed all day

Wed 30 it is clear and cloudy by turns this
morning about seven .O. clock it broke
away and the sun shoen out tollerable
pleasent the wind south east about 12
.O. clock it was in the south about two it got
in the south west and came up a cloud and
had the appearance of rain I am aplowi
for oats about twelve .O. clock we finishe
planting corn at six .O. clock it came up

Thu 31 it was some cloudy this morning about
six .O. clock it broke away the sun shoen
clear and warm at suven .O. clock I
started up to Henry Kleppingers to
see the folks it was a very fine day and
very warm we landed up there half past
four in the evning it got some cloudy in
about twelve .O. clock and rain about one
.O. clock alittle shower then it cleared up
and then the sun shoen out quite
warm and pleasent I staid at Mr.
Hineses the first night after I start
