Sun 12 Cloudy this morning and rained
quite hard after night it ceased at haf
past nine oclock I went to love feast
was intermishen the space of 15 minuets
then publick preaching Maria and
Venatta Patterson Wm Klepinger
and Samuel Klepinger too at 5
oclock we went to meeting again
it lasted till in the night it got
clear before night rite smart out to
day .S. Klepinger staid all night

Mon 13 Clear this morning quite pleasant
with the exception of a heavy frost
it has the appearance of being a
fine day I got up some wood and
at eleven oclock I went to the
meeting again Elizabeth Patterson
and John grooms at night I went
to meeting again Wm Campbell
preached at night on this ocation
quite a favorable meeting it broke
at 12 oclock after meting it
rained quite hard no more 1840

Tue 14 Cloudy this morning and it
rained some little it has the
appearance of continuing to hold
out it soon quit and got clear
I cut some timber for rails after
night I went to meeting again
house full quite a good meeting
I heard the whipper wills 1840

Wed 15 Clear this morning with a havy
frost on I went up to Jacob Klepinge
and Pulver worked out taw days
it got some cloudy in the evening
I groubed some of the time and
some of the time I made stakes
we got to talking on politicks
but we Dident hit to gether
on the subject at all no not

September the 13. 1839 Page 85

Fri 13 Clear this morning with a heavy frost
I cleaned up oats it was nice and pleasant
all day campmeeting commenced on
My Fathers land I done several
things to day after night I went to
meeting no more at this time Harmon

Sat 14 Cloudy this morning and rained till
late in the evening it quite was a few
out no more at this time H. Lucas

Sun 15 Cloudy this morning and rained som
quite cool for the season it continued so
all day I was at camp meeting there
was a few out Harmon Patterson Joined
the Methedist episcople church 1839 80
Wm Campbell staid all night hear
I got hom 15 miuets past 12 18ooo

Mon 16 Clear this morning quite pleasant it
looks fine Camp meeting broke up at
ten Oclock quite warm in the after
noon I cut 9 shocks of fodder it
continued pleasant all day but after
night it clouded up and rained hard 1839

Tue 17 Cloudy this morning and raining a
little it rained by spells all day in the
evening I went down to Cooppers store
after quinine I took up a waggon wh
eall to Millses for to get fixed I got
my calf from Samuel Pulvers and
Luesa Pulver had a severe shake of
the ague quite hard no more at this

Wed 18 Clear this morning quite cool for the
season it got some pleasant on through
the day I cut up fodder ten shocks of

Thu 19 Clear this morning quite pleasant
till in the evening it got some cloudy and it
rained some I cut up ten shocks of fodder
Wily. Sims staid att night with us

May the 13. 1839 Page 64

Tue 14 Clear for a few moments and then
it got quite cloudy with a desperate cool
wind from the South West and
rained some it got quite clear in the
and the wind raised and blew hard

Wed 15 I furrowed out for corn and planted too
it got very warm in the middle
of the day after night it rained hard

Wed 15 Partley clear but in a few moments
it got quite clear quite cool this
morning in a few moments it got
cloudy and rained it thundred qute
hard I finished planting corn and
I thank the good beiing for seeing
mee out withit in the after noon
it rained some I done nothing amen

Thu 16 Cloudy this morning and raining
some it broke away the sun shoen
out I went out and worked for Mr.
Joshua burch I made fence it is quite
cool but turned some warmer Harm

Fri 17 Clear this morning with some frost
it continued clear and quite warm all
day I made fence for Joshua Burch
and after night I came home and
stoped at Jacb Klepingers no more

Sat 18 Clear this morning with some frost
I went down to Jacob Fierces to help
father to carry a bee stand and I
went down to shoney quite warm I
landed at henry cambbells at four
O clock and found the folks all well
I went the river road to quite loa

Sun 19 Clear this morning and quite warme
at eleven O clock I went to Bethel
meeting house to hear Mr. Biers
preach at four we went back to meeting
again I staid both nites at Henry
Campbelles good men my out at it

Page 57 - March 30, 1839 - Father's Wagon

March the 30.th. 1839 Page 57

Sat 30 Cloudy this morning but broke away
and in the evening it got quite clear I
went down to Cooppers store and got me
a stalk price 2.00 and a riding whip
price 62 cts in the after noon I went
to a quarterly meeting held near the
widow Genings at the school house in that
nighborhood after night I went to Mr.
James Pierces and staid all night.

Sun 31 Clear this morning and continued so
throughout the day I went back to the love
feast at bubtick preching was hedd at
the widow genings barn after meeting
I came home Silas Campbell was hear

Mon 1 of April 1839 Clear this morning and
quite warm all day I thrashed 28 of oats

Tue 2 Clear this morning quite warm it
looks some hasy I plowed up in Mr.
Hunts field for oats noe more at pres

Wed 3 Clear this morning I plowed till
noon in the after noon I had such a
swelling on my foot that I couldent
work I was some sick too 1839 22

Thu 4 Partly Clear this morning I done
nothing till noon in the after noon
I harrowed in oats quite warm all
day no more at this present time

Fri 5 Clear this morning and quite pleasent
I fixt fence till non in the after noon
I cut stalks it was quite smokey late
in the evening the sun disappeared

Sat 6 Cloudy this mornaing and has the
appearance of rain quite warm and
smokey I plowed till in the after
noon then quite Father had another
trile for the wagon he got it back
