July the Twenty third 1838 19

Mon 23 it is some cloudy this morning the sun
shoen out clear it was tollerable warm
all day I cradled wheat for us all day

Tue 24 the sun rose coear but in a few mome
it commenced thundring in the west
right smart and continued thundring
till about nine .O. clock in the morning
then it commenced raining some little
Dr. J. W. Law Respectfully tenders
his profession at services to the citizens
of Pittsburgh Indiana and the surround
ing contrys and hopes by strict attention
to his duties to merit and recieve a share
of the patronage of the publick he may
all ways be found in pittsburgh unless
absent on buisness of his profession

Wed 25 clear this morning with the exception
of a little cloud in the west some thun
dring it has the apearance of fine weathe
it was quite warm all day I done one of
greatest days mowing for .Old Mr. Shigly

Thu 26 clear with the exception of little cloud and
some thundring in the west wind south
I mowed till noon and then I made hay

Fri 27 clear and quite warm this morning I
cradled wheat for old Mr. Shigley 100

Sat 28 clear and very pleasent only very
warm I cradled wheat till nine .O. clock
I Received a letter from my Cousin

Sun 29 clear and quite warm this morning I went
to the meeting house to hear Mr bruce
at eleven .O. clock about four .O. clock
got a fine shower I went to Mr Simese
to heat Mr. bruce preach right smart
of peopl out at it it broke away at
