Febuary the 4. 1839 Page 48

Mon 4 Cloudy this morning in the after
noon it broke away but quite
coald all day I dom nothing of eny
conciquend all day so noe more

Teu 5 clear this morning and continued
so all day a most despertly coald
I done nothing of eny conciquence w

Wed 6 clear this morning and continued
e so all day and som little warmer
it thoughed some little I killed
four praire hens after night I
went Salem meeting house to
Mr. Wood preach H. R. L.

Thu 7 clear this morning and some little
warmer that it has been for some
two or three mornings past it
thoughed some Father went to town
he got a letter for me and six pape
I cut some wood for the school house
after night I went to Mr. gening
to prayer meeting H. R. L.

Fri 8 cloudy this morning and continud
so aall day in the after noon it
rained some five or six times
in the day I cut some timber for
adam Bests and then hunted

Sat 9 clear this morning it had snowed
som in the night which is gone
some colder than it has been for
som two or three days past wind
North west at this time after
night I went to singing school
and I signed one scholar to it we
had liken to load a fight at it
am I a soldier of the croess a
follower of the lamb and
shall I fear to own his cause
or blush to speak his name
