Mon 30 clear till noon in the evening it raind a fine
shower I mowed till non then maid hay 1838
Tue 31 at seven .O. clock it raind a fine shower
I counted up the wet and dry weather and
there was sixty two wet days and fifty
three dry days from the eight of april
till the last of July 1838
August the 1 1838
Wed 1 clear and quite cool for what we have had
for some time past it clouded up and was
cloudy all day I mowed for old Mr. Shigley
Thu 2 cloudy in the morning but broke
away and got some warmer and pleasen
I cradled oats at night I went to hear
Mr. Paul Preach at the meeting hous
Fri 3 clear and pleasent all day I drawed hay
Sat 4 clear in the morning but soon clouded
up and at ten .O. clock it began to
rain tollerable hard I went to the
City of Laffyette and came out
James Pierces and staid all night
Sun 5 cloudy in the morning but twords
noon it broke away then was a shower
went round in the south I was at Mr.
Simeses school house at sining school
Mon 6 clear till noon in the after part of
the day it raind a terable shower and
then it broke away some I mowed till
the rain ascended then I went to bests
Tue 7 Quite foggy this morning it had some
appearance of rain I mowed and put up
hay hard times at this time no more
Round is the ring that has no end

my pen is bad my Ink is frale
