May the 7. 1839 Page 63

Tue 7 Partly clear this morning thier is some frost
I furrowed out a while I finished sixteen
acres planting in the after noon I plowed
in the other eight acres quite warm R

Wed 8 Clear this morning in the fore noon
Father come home from Chiggo he got
one barel of fish which contains one hundred
and ten fish in the barel and two barels
of salt in the evening it clouded up and
had the appearance of rain it went round
to the east with heavy thundring and heavy
flashes of lightning I plowed for corn 1839

Thu 9 Partley Clear this morning but got some
hasy in the evening it clouded up and raind
a fine shower I plowed for corn all day
James Patterson and Mr. Coopers niece
was married to day 1839 Indiana state

Fri 10 Partly clear this morning some hasy and
cool it got quite warm and got some
cloudy in the evening and sprinkled some
I plowed for corn all day Harmon

Sat 11 clear this morning and quite pleasent
in the evening it clouded up and in the
night it rained some little I finished
plowing for corn against noon in the after
noon I furrowed owt for corn quite warm.

Sun 12 cloudy this morning and rained some it
got some broken some cooler than it was.
it continued raining by turns all day
I went over to Salem Meeting house to
Hear Mr. Wood preach after meeting I
went over to Timmons to Singing school
at four I went to meeting again but noen

Mon 13 Cloudy this morning and raining some quite
cool at nine it broke of and the sun shoen
out and was nearly clear the remainder
of the day I furowed ot for corne father
took down his wool to the emeshen
