Tue 23 cloudy this morning and raind till noon
it broke away I worked all day on the canall
Wed 24 cloudy and at noon began to rain about
three O. clock I quit working on the canall
Thu 25 cloudy all day I continued working on
the Eri canall for Frasure and Hill
Fri 26 partly clear some flying clouds at this
time I continued working on the canall
Sat 27 clear this morning till noon and then it clouded
up and at five O. clock it began to rain
and after night it began to snow I continued
to work till noon then cam home amenen
Sun 28 some cloudy the snow fell about one inch
in debth it melted away it came five or
six squalls through the day I went down
to Mr. Mostillers at a two days meeting
then back to singing school at Mr
Simeses school house it commenced at
four O. clock and quit at five I started
home with Miss E B and got home
Mon 29 clear this morning with a heavy frost
I started over to the canall I worked three
quarters of a day so ends the chapter
Tue 30 some clear and cloudy together all day
I settled up with Resen Frasure and
he paid me five dollars my month being
at an end I worked till noon then quit amen
Wed 31 clear and pleasent all day I gethered corn
we husked three loads of corn this makes
the last of the month which it makes
the last of October 1838
Round is the ring that has no end
