Thu 5 it had the appearance of rain to nine
.O. clock it give us a fine shower in a
few minuets it broke away the sun
shoen out at one .O. clock it was clear
as it could bee and continued so till
the going down of the sun wind north
east quite pleasent I plowed corn 1838
Fri 6 quite clear and pleasent this morning
wind east at this time it look a little
hasy but cleard away wind north east
I plowed in the corn field all day
Sat 7 quite clear and very pleasent and warm
it continued so all day Mr. Munson
and his old woman was hear I plowed
till four in the evening then I quit
Sun 8 a little foggy this morning and some little
cloudy but the sun shoen out some little
it had the appearance of rain nearly all day
I went over here to hear Mr. Bruce
preach at eleven .O. clock and at four .O.
clock I went down to hear said Bruce
again at Mr. simeses school house I went
on purpes to see the girls safe home but
I couldent take heart to goe so no more
Mon 9 the sun rose and shoen out pleasent it has
the appearance of fine weather at present
it continued so till about three .O. clock it
clouded up and raind a fine shower in the
north and a fine shower in the south and
at four .O. clock we received a little of it
but none to doe much good some
thundring and lightning I plowed corn
Tue 10 the sun rose and shoen out clear and pleasen
with the exception of a few flying clouds
wind south west at nine .O. clock it clouded
up and raind in the south and sprinkled
alittle here at halfpast eleven .O. clock it
came a fine show I plowed corn
