Mon 8 clear and pleasent with a heavy
frost I worked on the canall 1838
Tue 9 clear and pleasent all day I
worked on the canall all day
Wed 10 clear till noon a heavy frost in
the after noon it clouded up and
looked like rain I worked on the canall
Thu 11 cloudy in the after noon it blowed
heard the wind I worked on the canall
Fri 12 cloudy and quite cool for the season
I bought a watch at ten Dollars
in the after noon it broke away
but quite cool I came home and nun
Sat 13 cloudy and quite windy all day at
dusk it began to sprinkle and at
dark it raind quite hard very dark
I went to Lafaytte and got a pair of
Sun 14 scatron clouds this morning I went to
mr. Simeses school house to hear
singing and home then I went
over to the canall with George godred
and got there at dark 1838
