Sat 23 Cloudy this morning and snowing some
it turned in to raining then it turned
in to snowing again I went to Coopers
and got mee a hat at one dollar one
raizor and box one dollar the preachers
house was raised to day no more at this

Sun 24 Cloudy this morning and snowed some
I went to Salem meeting hous to hear
Mr. Cooper preach for the first time
quite stormey after night I went to
E. Pattersons to meeting again it got
desperate cool as I ever saw it in my
quite a congragation out at it ammen

Mon 25 Clear this morning quite cool there
was sun dogs this morning I done
nothing much all day quite cool 1840

Tue 26 Clear this morning with a heavy frost
on quite cool all day I dome nothing
much all day no more at presant

Wed 27 Clear this morning I drowd logs for
a stable Father sold. 6. head of cattle
to James Serviison for .75 dollars and
61 dollars which he owd Father wich
made one hundred and ;36. dollars I
got Johnson graveses note for 1.57 dollars
and Father he is to give .J. Servison 20
dollars out of the note when collected
from J. Graves Father lent J. Pierce
and J. Servison one hundred dollars
it got quite cloudy and after night it
hailed some I went to meeting at Salem
meeting house few out to night

Thu 28 Cloudy this morning and looks like
rain in the after noon it began to snow
it turned in to raining it rained
steady I cut wood till noon then I
husked corn 1839 no morning 1839
