Thu 6 Clear this morning with a heavy diau and
it got cloudy in a few hours and staid cloudy
some time then it got clear and the sun
shoen out in the evening it got cloudy and
had all the appearance of rain I plowed
all day after night it give us a little rain
Fri 7 Cloudy this morning and has the appearance
of rain and did rain some it soon broke away
the sun shoen out I went to Laffayette to se
a great show while at the show it rained some
again I got in for 25 cents and got to see as mch
as those that paid .50. cents it was supposed
that their was fifteen hundred people at it
and as John Graves and I came home wee
got to ketch as hard a rain as I want to ketch
it got some clear in the west and the sun shoen
out after night it rained very hard again
Sat 8 Cloudy this morning and looks some litle
like rain but broke away the sun shoen out
some about two O clock it sprinkled som of rain
I killed 8 ground squirls and 3 wood pecker
and sheld som corn and went to mill in the
evening it come up a very hard rain it broke
away the sun shoen out nice I got me a scythe
for 2.25 cents and a comb for 25 cents
Father had his trile with John G. Smith
Sun 9 Cloudy this morning and looks like rain
but broke away the sun shoen out it is
quite warm I went to Mr. Pattersons to
meeting at eleven O clock at four O clock I
went to Mr. Genings to Meeting too in the
evening it got quite clear and pleasant 1839
Mon 10 Cloudy this morning it rained in the fore
noon and at noon it come a hard rain accom
paned with thundre and lightning I plowed
till noon it rained till three O clock then
it broke away in the evening it got clear
and pleasent I groubed some in the night
