got 18 cts for it we lay .3. miles

Sat 16 Clear this morning with a frost
my bill was 12 cts we came to
A. Rexfords and put up I got 12
after night it rained some and
turned in cooler than before
Sun 17 Clear this morning quite cool we
came to the praire house one the
lake and staid all night I bought
a pair of mittens price 62 1/2
Mon 18 Clear this morning quite pleasant
I got four barels of Salt price 12. 81.
one fagot of nail iron 4. 25 cts forty.
pounds of Coffe price 6. 40 cts four
pounds of tea 2. 75 cts combs and knife
25 cts tar 18 cts mittens 62 cts we
got to Chicago traded and started back
and got back as far as Smiths and staid
Tue 19 Clear this morning we staidted and
came back to Woods and put up we stuck
fast in the calimink swamp in the evening
came up a cloud and had the appearance
of snow we lost a log chain after night
I went back after it I road about 30 miles
after night quite cool no more 1839 . 19
Wed 20 Clear this morning we came to Van
Rankins on the sand ridge quite cool

Thu 21 Clear this morning we came to sugar
creek quite cool 1839 . my Dear Mifs
Fri 22 Clear this morning but got some cloudy
in the evening quite cool we landed ham
