Page 67 - May 29, 1839 - Yarnold Scared

May the 29 . 1839 Page . 67.....

Wed 29 Clear this morning and had the appearance
of a fine day some considerable warmer
than it has been for some two or three days
past it got some cloudy and rained som
I went to Mill in the fore noon in
the after noon I grubed Father came
home from Chicogo he got ten bushels of
potatoes at fifteen cents per bushels and one
barel of green aples at seven dollars per
barel and six bolts of factry cotten at
eight cts per yard he stored up his butter
for to be sold at the rise of the market

Thu 30 Clear this morning and quite pleasant
it turned quite warm it continued prety nice
till late in the evening then it clouded up
I groubed till four O clock in the evening
then I went over to Timmons to thear
brother Springer triy to preach after
the meeting I went after a cow that
Father had bought of John Mahen
he gave him eighteen Dollars for her

Fri 31 Some cloudy but soon broke away and got clear
with the exception of a few flying clouds
it continued in that position till late in the
evening it clouded up and sprinkled some
of rain Father went down to Laffayette
I groubed bresh Michel Dunfee he also
groubed for us too after night what do you
think hapned with Mrs. Yarnold now
I.ll enter in with a brief detail of what
hapned well it has been for nearly ten
years since she had an hair before and at
this timi she has a fine large sone on
which its name is Yarnold Aaron
I never expected such would ever come too
pass on this earth again I think that
Yarnold is very proud of it which noe
dought is I would bee if it was my case
I asertained that said Yarnold was
nearly sceard to death which mow douth
was the case with him for noe wonder
