Febuary the 17. 1839 Page 50

Sun 17 Cloudy this morning and snowe
two or three times in the course
of the day I went to Salam
meeting house to hear Mr.
Wood preach after night he
preached ggin I went to it

Mon 18 clear this morning quite nice
all day I cut wood all day L
D Chism staid all night D

Ttue 19 clear all day I went up to a little
town caled Ammericas to get
some money at the esqires office
which he had collected for mee
I staid all night at michel
hairs and went to speling school

Wed 20 cloudy and raining this mornin
it broke away at noon I had a
Job a getting my money from
the esquire I got fourteen Dollars
and sixty two cents and I paid
L. D. Chisom ten Dollars too

Thu 21 cloudy partly all day the sun shoen
out some times I made one hundre
and forty rails for Adam best
quite warm all day after night
I went to meeting at Mr. genings

Fri 22 cloudy this morning and raingu
it had commenced in the night
it thundred very hard som foggy
too Mr. and Mrs. Genings was hear
and Mr. and Mrs. Barns was hear
on a visit I cout some rail timbe

Sat 23 cloudy this morning and a great
appearance of rain quite warme
it is some smokey I made one hundred
and twelve rails for Adam Best
in the after noon we went a
hunting rabots but killed none
