July the 17. 1839 Page 76

Wed 17 Clear this morning with a heavy fog
on quite cool it turned quite warm in
the corse of the day I finishe laying my
corn by in the for noon in the after
noon I cut 18 dosens of my wheat and
Father and Samul Pulver cradleed
wheat for Wm and Josshua Burch

Thu 18 Clear this morning quite pleasant
withe exception of a few flying clouds
I helped Wm Klepinger cradle in
his wheat it made my arms quite
soar Father helped Adam Best

Fri Clear this morning with the exception
of a few flying clouds over us at this
time quite warm in the fore noon I
cut wheat in our field in the after noon
I helped Klepingers cradle in the eve
ning it got cloudy and rained some
it continued so all night in the eve
ning Father and Mother went up
to adam Bests with the Provisions 18..

Sat 20 Cloudy this morning and raining some
it broke away quite warm there was sev
ral showers went rounld Father and
mee cut our wheat I had 2. 00 hundr
dosens Father had 2. 40 dosens of wheat
the mens names that helped us reap

Sun 21 Cloudy this morning and it rained
all day by turns the sun shoen out in the
evening it came up a desperate storm
with thunder and lightning I was at
Isaac Klepingers all day Bettsy Pierce
Benjamin graves was on a visit hear
