Febuary the 24 , 1839 Page 51

Sun 24 Cloudy this morning and raining
slowly quite warm and foggy
this morning it continued so all day
I fig wrvited all day . H. R. L.

Mon 25 Cloudy this morning and rained
some little it turned some cooler
than it was Father Went to tend
Court in Lafayette I killed a
goose fourty two steps with my
shot gun I made 25 rails for Silas

Tue 26 Cloudy this morning and some
foggy I worked for Joshua Burch
in the evening it rained some the
sun shoen out very pleasent it
its setting it formed a beautiful
rain bow it turned some cooler

Wed 27 Clear this morning and froze
the ground some some time in and
through the course of the day it
clouded up in the evening it turned
some cooler it snowed a little
squall it got quite cloudy at dark

Thu 28 Cloudy this morning and snowed
it snowed about one inch deep
last evening it proved to be a
Blustering day the sun shon out
some few times I killed five
doves at one shoat and two
prayre hens at one at an other
shoot I got some little wood
one day after date Value Reced
we or either of us promised
