Sun 24 Clear for a few moments then it
got cloudy and soon rained and
snowed some then it broke away
the sun shoen out in the evening
it came up a snow squall it turned
coalder I went to meeting at Salem
meeting house then over to mendendes
halls I was out to see a certain percen
Mon 25 partly clear with a heavy frost it
got quite clear in the evening the
wind stired rite smart all day I
cut logs rowled groubed and other
things father he plowed this field
Tue 26 Clear this morning with a heavy
frost a still breese a moveing now
the a rouse in the evening wind
in the evening it clouded up and
looked like rain in the night it
rained some I groubed all day dear
Wed 27 Clear this morning quite warm it
continued so all day I groubed and
cut logs in the after noon wee went
out and burnt our stubbles off.
Thu 28 Cloudy this morning and has the
appearance of rain it rained some two
three times in thee fore noon in the
after noon it rained all the time
I cut four acres of stalks in the fore
noon in the after noon I went to
Mr. Taylors and got me a watch
I ame to give hime 15 dollars for it
against the first of September next
Fri 29 Cloudy this morning and raining some
it broke away and turned some cooler
the sun shoen out some I cut some
logs in the after noon after night it
snowed some I went to fast meeting
