Sat 24 clear this morning I went and tried
to husked corne but to cold I husked
three shocks of fodder and quite in
the evening it clouded it up and got
very cold Father got 25 Bushels of
corn of mee I helped timmons rais
Sun 25 clear and quite cold it thoughed a
little in the day but got cold I
went to Salem Meting house to
hear Selkerk Preach their was
a considerable congration out the hous
was full nearly noe more at pre
Mon 26 clear this morning sun shoen out
very peasent but cool I husked
eleven shocks of fodder for Silas
Colbert in the evening it clouded up
Tue 27 cloudy all day and missed some little
and quit chiefly I husked five shocks
for Silas B Colbert H Lucas 1838
Wed 28 clear partly all day I husked one shock
of fodder and quit too cold I helped to
thrash some wheat I killed one praire
hen and at night the first was

Johnson Graves Joshua Burch and
Benjamin Burch John Shigley and
Tue 29 clear and quite cool a heavy frost it was
quite cool all day we finished gethered
corn I killed one praire hen H Lucas
Fri 30 clear and a heavy frost it was a nice day
I killed three praire hens and drawed
one load of fodder and three loads of wood
and at night we shelad seven bushels
of corn Benjamin Burch had a
husked frolick at night 1838 28
