Sat 22 Clear this morning quite cool with a
heavy diew it continued clear all day and
mice I went all over the corn and wheat
fields to inspect them in the after noon
I hunted som and after night I laid
in the waggon to wach rack coons 1839
Sun 23 Clear this morning quite pleasant it
is some warmes than it has been for some
two or three days at ten I went to Salem
meeting house to hear Wood preach and
at half past 3 I went to Pattersons to
meeting it rained some at dark it raind
it rained very hard and steady cool 1839
Mon 24 Cloudy this morning and about noon it
broke away and got clear in the after noon
and pleasant I done nothing much all day
in the after noon I thined corn 1839 21
Tue 25 Clear this morning with the exception of
a few flying clouds over us I went to
Lafayette and got of Hannah for
E. Timmons. 4. 9. 25 I got 2 pounds of
shot .25. half poand of powder .25. two
harps .12 1/2 one pair of susspenders 62 1/2
their is three steam boats up one is cald the

Wed 26 Clear this morning with the exception
of a few clouds it got cloudy and it
rained som two or three times in the
day quite warm after night it rained
again hquit hard I plowed in my corne
Thu 27 Clear partly this morning with the
exception of a few flying clouds over
us quite pleasant it rained som two or
three times in the after noon it and
then it broke away and got clear and
quite pleasant I plowed till in the
evening late then I quite and broke my
plow then made onother one so noe
