Thu 11 Clear this morning with the exception
of a few flying clouds some cool to it
continued clear till nearly night then it got
cloudy and at night it bgan to rain quite
hard I went to Lafayettte I got me two
blind bridles and a collar at five dollars I
got me a hat at fifty cts at MC Cormicks
one dollars worth of trimmons and twelve
cts worth of shot I foand a six pence two
Fri 12 Cloudy this morning and raining it
rained till ten O clock then it broke away
som about twelve the sun shoen out in
the after noon it got qute clear and nice
I don mothing in the fore noon in the after
noon I made fence ine the after noon
Sat 13 Clear this morning with a heavy frost it
continued clear all day James W Ireland he
spaid four hogs one died in less than five minut
after sh was spaid their was an election held
for the purpose of electoon Captain Lieutenan
and ensign James W Ireland got two vots
more than Timmons Wm. Graves got in
to be Lieutenant and Silas Colbert got
in to be ensign I voted for them all my 21
self I mustered two up in the praire 1839
Sun 14 Clear this morning with a heavy frost I
went over to Mr. Mendenhalls and staid
all day at night I went over to Feeldens
and staid all night in the evening it clouded
up and had the appearance of rain but dident
Mon 15 Clear this morning some cooler it has the
apparance of a fine day it thundred some
quite warm I plowed for oats in the evening
it got som cloag after night it rained som
