December the .12. 1839 Page 98

Thu 12 Cloudy this morning quite cool late
in the evening it broke away and at
sun down it got clear and the moon
shown out I helped Erastus Barnes
get in the corn from string town it
was a yankee bee as they call it H . L

Fri 13 Cloudy this morning and looks like
snowd it was a fine day I helped
to make a corn crib and other things

Sat 14 Cloudy this morning and snowing some
by turns all day I killed 3 hens and
in the evening I got on my colt and got
hurt by a fall mendenhalls and wife
was hear on a visit no more at pres

Sun 15 Cloudy this morning and snowing rite
smart quite blustry at 11 oclock I went
to meeting right smart out at it the
preacher came hear and took refreshment
after night I went down to E. Pattersons
to meeting house full no more at this

Mon 16 Cloudy this morning and snowd some all
day I fixt fence till noon in the after noon
I went to J. Ireland and cut some wood

Tue 17 Cloudy this morning snowd some Father
helped H. Genings to kill hogs I drowd some
fodder and killed two quails noe more at this

Wed 18 Cloudy this morning at noon it broke
away and moderated some in the fore noon
we got in a load of corn in the after
noon we got wood after night we went
to H. Genings on a visit and came to
home 5. minuets after one oclock 1839. 21

Thu 19 Cloudy this morning at noon it broke
away and turned in some warmed I
got wood all day no more at this
present time but Remmen me 183
