Fri 1 Cloudy this morning the ground
is frose quite hard it broke away
some in the after noon it got quit
pleasent this day is the day of
Henry Calhoons exhibition is
I dident goe I got wood and
done other exercise the snow
went away quite peleasent 1839

Sat 2 Cloudy and snowing hard it had
snowed in the night before som
five or six inches in debth I
went to Lafayette to take a horse
for Father to ride back from
court I got me a vest patron the
price 3 . 50 cts buttens 37 cts tinor
tremmons . 100. cts I gave 50 cts for
cutting it it was about as blustry
a day as I have seen the winter
I staid all night at James serivison

Sun 3 Clear this morning and quite
coald all day I went to Genings
school house to a babtist mee
ting and then to home after
night I went over to Salem
meeting house to prayr meeting

Mon 4 Clear this morning and quit coald
Father went to attend court again
this morning quite windy all
day I cut some wood H R

Tue 5 Clear this morning some warmer
I went to Mill with nine bushels
of corn it thoughed considerable
I killed two quails and two dovs
I cut some wood after night
I wrote a letter to my Cousin

Wed 6 Clear this morning and quite
warm the snow disapeared I
worked for Joshua Burch after
night I went to a sugar camt
