the canall I sawed timber all day

at dobing a shanty in the fore noon
in the after noon wheald dirt
Thu 27 clear and pleasent all day I wheald
dirt on the canall so no more.
father went to Chickcaugo to day
Fri 28 clear and pleasent all day I wheald
earth out of the canall 1838
Sat 29 clear and pleasent all day I worked
till noon and then I came home 1838
Sun 30 some cloudy early in the morning
but broke away and got clear I
went down to singing school at
Mr. Simeses school house and then
over to the canall and got there at
October the 1st 1838

it broke away and got cooler
